Understanding the small things

I have realized that I frequently spend my time in the Starbucks on campus. With this in mind, I have decided to dedicate my time here(because let’s face it, everyone knows I’m not spending it studying) to focusing on this blog.

I mentioned in my last post that I have become more comfortable being alone on campus. I think this has something to do with the fact that I have been becoming more confident overall. It’s common during your college experience to become extremely self-centered which I will definitely admit to, but I don’t think that it’s necessarily all bad. Because of this, I have been able to focus on what I really want and what makes me happy, and when they say “you can’t make others happy, if you’re not happy” they know what they’re talking about. The saying “do you”, which I can thank my best friend for, has really been sticking with me. I feel myself accepting things(some of which I may not fully understand) more and more. I would challenge any of you who find yourself somewhat close-minded to stop and think for a while before you make any unfair judgements about people or situations. Now to many of you this may be obvious, but I clearly had some more recent growing up to do. I was always told that things were going to make more sense once I graduated high school. I guess I can say that’s finally happening. 

On a much lighter and less complicated note, I’d like to share some fun stuff about my week. After an overwhelming schedule on Monday I spent some time with my best friends over dinner at my favorite place in the world, Chipotle . Also,

They were the first indie/alternative band I got into back in 2010 and introduced me to that music scene. I will also be meeting one of my instagram friends in person that day so that will be fun. You guys can definitely expect a huge post with lots of pictures in a few days.
